Balboa Park Arch & Architecture
Balboa Park Arch & Architecture shows architectural features including a covered and arched walkway leading to a taller building with a lookout and a tiled domed roof that partially encircle an inner courtyard. The land had been set aside for many years by the city but the process of actually building Balboa Park began in 1903 and was completed in 1910. The park was named after Spanish born Vasco Nunez de Balboa. Most of the variety and beauty of the plants and mature trees in the park are attributed to Kate Sessions whom its said planted 100 trees per year in the park and countless varieties of flowers.
