Mother Sewing With Child

An auburn haired mother in a striped dress sits sewing while her red headed daughter leans against her lap looking a little bored.  She’s waiting for her mother to finish sewing so they can play.  A sweet moment in time.  Her chair sits against a window wall looking out to the wooded back yard.  A side table with drawers is next to her with a blue and white vase filled with orange flowers on top of it.  This painting is a study I did of a really old painting that is out in the public domain.

NL Galbraith

NL Galbraith has been painting on and off for over 25 years. Her murals, trompe l'oeil work, and decorative paintings can be found in residences all over the southwest. Today she enjoys painting on canvas instead with watercolors, acrylics, and inks. NL also enjoys photography and graphic art. She opened up her art website in early 2020 and started a small blog. Copies of her artwork and photographs can be seen on her website at https://www.nlgalbraithfineart.com, or via links. NL was accepted in and has exhibited her artwork many times over in online competitions (due to Covid) in 2020. Several of these competitions had over 400-700 entries from around the world. To her surprise, she has won several awards for her paintings, inspiring her to continue forward. In 2021 NL joined the San Diego Museum of Fine Art Artist's Guild. You can find more of her work on their website. NL was educated as an interior designer and had her own business for many years. Art was often the finishing touch that tied together or transformed the spaces, and brought smiles. NL believes that one's environment does effect one's life, demeanor, and perspective. So set the stage well, and live well with art!
