The Giant Sequoia Trees, Yosemite #6 There are three different groves of Giant Sequoia trees in Yosemite National Park. The Mariposa Grove in Yosemite is the easiest to get to and the most visited, and it has about 500 Giant Sequoias. It's astonishing, amazing, spectacular, massive, and stunningly beautiful. The Merced Grove and the Tuolumne Grove are smaller and not as easy to get to than the Mariposa, but definitely are worth the hike. "In every walk with Nature one receives far more than he seeks." by John Muir.-. The oldest Giant Sequoia tree is estimated to be over 3,000 years old, and the tallest is estimated to be over 275 feet high (the equivalent of a 20-24 story high rise, or almost half as tall as the Prudential building in Boston.) Standing next to a Giant Sequoia makes you feel as big as an ant by comparison. Most people just stare at them with their jaws open in complete awe of their massiveness and incredible beauty. This photograph is many years old. I left the person in the photograph just so you had a better perspective of the Giant Sequoia's immense size.TO ORDER: All prints will be a better quality and the water mark will be removed.
